Description

Surprise! Fawn's back!

I'm surprised as you are, as Fawn really was supposed to be travelling with that caravan as far as I was concerned. They were going to be asking Pavan how she was doing, and Emma was the one supposed to greet them, back from her long awaited holiday. Only it didn't happen like that.
First, working Emma into the story was proving awkward, so she got cut. Then it was hard to find a way to work Fawn's progress into the conversation alongside talking about Ascantha's restoration without talking for ages and ages, so that got left out too. Then I got to the whole bit where they're wondering whether they should intervene or not, and I realised, Fawn's a hunter and a tracker as well as a member of the City Watch - she would be perfect for this. Plus, if you speak to one of the soldiers at this point in the game, he recommends you just go ahead and get the harp yourselves as this is going to take forever, and that fitted Fawn's character as well. And then the rest just flowed - the bit about Emma came out of nowhere, but it fits my version of her character perfectly, so it stayed.

Fawn and Ascantha have taken on a bit of a life of their own, so I may return to them later. Fawn's not going to be the sole narrator though, so don't worry, she won't steal the show. In fact, she's normally pretty quiet - it just seems whenever she joins the main story I can't get her to shut up. I guess she's just trying to make the most of her limited screentime. :D

Anyway, next up, the thieves. And I promise you, it won't be what you expect (unless you're familiar with the game, in which case ssh) :D
